But the real magic of training doesn’t start with commands — it starts with understanding how dogs learn . Dogs don’t come into our homes understanding our expectations. In fact, they don’t naturally understand the meaning of words at all. To them, our communication is a foreign language . Our job is to teach them what our words, tone, and actions mean , and we do this by shap
