Day Training

About Our Day Train Programs

Our Day Train Program is designed for owners who want the benefits of an immersive training experience without overnight stays. Much like our Board and Train program, your dog receives focused, structured training throughout the day with our professional trainers—then returns home with you each evening.

Dogs are dropped off in the morning and picked up in the evening on scheduled training days. This allows us to work intensely on your dog’s obedience, behavior, and confidence while still keeping them integrated into your home life. Support and follow-up are included and vary depending on program length and the specific goals of your dog.

At Dogs Will Dog LLC, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all training. Every Day Train program is fully customized to the individual dog and their owner(s). With years of hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, we understand that dogs need real-life training for real-life results. Rather than drilling behaviors in artificial or kennel-based settings, we focus on exposing dogs to the environments, distractions, and scenarios they will actually encounter in everyday life.

Training takes place in controlled, real-world environments—both indoors and outdoors—so dogs learn how to apply their skills where it matters most. By limiting the number of dogs in our programs at any given time, we ensure our attention stays exactly where it should: on your dog’s progress, not on volume or shortcuts. This approach is especially beneficial for dogs struggling with reactivity, anxiety, or behavioral challenges, as it prevents unnecessary stress and overstimulation.

Puppies and young dogs also thrive in our Day Train setting. Without the chaos of large kennel environments, they’re less likely to develop unwanted behaviors and more likely to build confidence, structure, and clear communication from the start.

Program lengths are intentionally designed to reflect the time it takes to build reliable, lasting behavior. While our Day Train programs are customizable, we prioritize quality over speed. We don’t rush dogs through training just to move them along—we focus on true learning, retention, and owner understanding. If a dog progresses faster or needs additional time, we remain flexible, with program length and pricing adjusted to reflect the time and work required.

Our goal is simple: to equip you and your dog with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed for success in your daily routine—so the training doesn’t stop when your dog leaves for the day, but continues to improve life at home.

Day Train Guarantee

If, by the end of your dog’s Day Train program, we are not satisfied with the progress made toward the agreed-upon training goals, we will extend your dog’s training and/or provide additional in-home lessons at no additional charge.

If the desired outcomes are still not achieved by the conclusion of the included follow-up lessons, we will continue to provide additional lessons at no extra cost until satisfactory progress has been reached.

To qualify for this guarantee, a minimum number of training days is required. This minimum will be established during your initial evaluation and is based on your dog’s specific goals, temperament, history, and training needs.

This guarantee does not apply to specialized training programs.

Programs

Puppy Day Train

For Puppies 12 Weeks to 6 Months Old The Puppy Day Train Program is designed to build confident, well-mannered puppies through structure, consistency, and real-life training. This program focuses on teaching your puppy the foundational skills they need to succeed both now and as they mature. Throughout the program, puppies learn core obedience skills including loose leash walking, sit, down, place, and an introduction to recall using a long line. These skills are developed through hands-on training in real-world settings to help your puppy learn how to focus and respond around everyday distractions. We place a strong emphasis on engagement and relationship-building. Through structured games and exercises, your puppy learns that working with their handler is rewarding and valuable. By controlling access to key resources—such as food, play, and freedom—we teach puppies how to earn what they want in a calm, structured way. Beyond obedience, this program helps puppies learn how to live successfully in a home. Training includes boundary awareness, impulse control, managing arousal in different environments, and addressing common puppy challenges such as counter surfing, trash rummaging, and potty training. Basic Day Train

Our Basic Day Train Program is designed for adult dogs that need additional guidance, structure, and clarity in their daily lives. This program is well-suited for dogs struggling with obedience reliability as well as those experiencing reactivity, fear, anxiety, or mild to moderate aggression. Depending on the severity of the behavior, additional time or alternative programs may be recommended to ensure long-term success. The foundation of this program is rebuilding a clear and reliable relationship between you and your dog. We focus on teaching dogs that access to resources—such as freedom, attention, and rewards—must be earned through appropriate and structured behavior. Clear rules and boundaries are established to address unwanted or problematic behaviors and to create predictability in everyday routines. Throughout the program, your dog will learn the core five obedience commands: sit, down, place, heel, and an introduction to recall using a long line. Equal emphasis is placed on helping your dog learn how to manage arousal levels and understand that calm, thoughtful behavior is what leads to success. On-Leash Board & Train Program Includes: 2–3 Hour In-Home Go-Home Lesson 4 In-Home Follow-Up Lessons Unlimited Follow-Up Lessons at Brighton Rec Center All Necessary Training Equipment for Clear Communication 3 Week Day Program: $1,900 15% Cash Discount 20% Military & First Responder Discount

Off-Leash (ECollar) Day Train

Our Off-Leash Day Train Program is one of our most popular training options, offering a comprehensive and in-depth approach designed to deliver reliable results efficiently—without cutting corners. This program focuses on developing both on-leash and off-leash obedience, while teaching your dog how to properly understand and respond to the e-collar as a communication tool. Rather than relying on correction, the e-collar is introduced as a way to activate desired behaviors and then disengage once the correct choice is made. When trained this way, dogs gain a clearer understanding of expectations, resulting in stronger, more reliable behaviors. Dogs enrolled in this program learn how to apply obedience skills not only during training sessions, but also within the home and in real-world environments. Emphasis is placed on house manners, responsiveness, and consistency across different settings. Reactivity, mild aggression, fear, and anxiety can also be addressed within this program. However, depending on the dog and the severity of the behavior, additional time and owner commitment may be required to achieve the desired outcomes. Off-Leash Day Train Program Includes: 2–3 Hour In-Home Go-Home Lesson 5 In-Home Follow-Up Lessons Unlimited Follow-Up Lessons at Brighton Rec Center All Necessary Training Equipment for Clear Communication 4-Week Off-Leash Day Train: $2,850 15% Cash Discount 20% Military & First Responder Discount

Behavior Modification Day Train

Our Behavior Modification Day Train Program is designed for dogs experiencing moderate to severe behavioral challenges, including aggression toward dogs and/or people, as well as significant fear and anxiety-related behaviors. This program is ideal for dogs who require a higher level of structure, consistency, and carefully controlled exposure to their triggers. In some cases, depending on the severity and presentation of the behavior, dogs displaying reactivity or mild aggression may be better suited for our Standard or Off-Leash Day Train Programs. Program placement is determined during your evaluation to ensure the safest and most effective approach for your dog. Creating lasting behavioral change requires time, repetition, and controlled exposure. Throughout this program, dogs work extensively around their specific triggers in a structured, intentional manner. Equally important, owners must be willing to implement certain lifestyle and routine adjustments to create predictability, structure, and clear expectations at home—key components in long-term behavior modification success. For dogs exhibiting severe human-directed aggression, private lessons may be required prior to enrollment. These sessions allow us to safely build rapport with your dog, establish foundational communication, and set the program up for success. All dogs enrolled in this program must be comfortable entering and exiting a crate without resistance, as crate use is an important component of safe handling and structure. 6 week program: $5,500 *15% Off Cash Discount *20% Off Military and First Responder
